Happy New Year, folks. We have had a few days of consistent sub-25F here in Holland. Feels like ice=making weather. I'm a newbie, so I can't comment on conditions, but excited to hear what you all are seeing! Are we getting close to sailing on the hard?

If your not busy come to the West Michigan Ice Yacht Club (WMIYC) monthly meeting January 27, 2022 at 6pm, bring a friend.
This months meeting is being held at the Mona Lake Boat Club,
372 Randall Rd, Norton Shores, MI 49441, refreshments are provided and food is available.
You can meet with other iceboaters from the area.
At meetings we compare notes about sailing, building, maintaining iceboats and the sport in general with an emphasis on safety.
I haven’t heard of any local (Muskegon) ice yacht sailing as of yet but get ready to go because sailing is getting close.
The WMIYC has runner sharpeners and other tools necessary to maintain iceboats as well as a host of knowledgeable sailers to glean information from including local conditions and sailing opportunities.
Club dues (if you want to join are $10.00) but your welcome to attend as my guest.
